1st International IWA Conference on Holistic Sludge Management
The conference covers sludge management and anaerobic digestion with a broad holistic system perspective. It is an opportunity to bring together scientists and practitioners from academia, consulting engineering, industry, equipment companies and waste water treatment plants to discuss the different challenges in resource recovery through treatment and disposal of waste water sludge. We wish to share knowledge, practices and ideas for the future directions of process development and to take a major step forward in all aspects of sludge management.
The conference will include oral presentations and posters that cover a wide range of themes including recycling of nutrients, upstream treatment to reduce harmful substances in wastewater, production of biogas, reject water treatment, certification of treated sludge and recycling of sludge to farm areas.
The event will take place on 6–8 May 2013 in Västerås, Sweden..
